Psychological First Aid (PFA) Training

The South Boston CAN Neighborhood Trauma Response Network invites the community to attend a Psychological First Aid (PFA) & Post-Traumatic Stress Management (PTSM) Training.

This two-day training will be October 14 – 15, 2014 and conducted by Dr. Robert Macy of the Boston Children’s Foundation and the International Trauma Center.

  • PTSM is an evidence based series of highly structured community responses following a traumatic incident
  • PTSM targets immediate reduction of traumatic stress response and violence reduction while augmenting coping, resiliency and community bonding
  • PTSM & PFA will give you the tools to conduct violence prevention and intervention strategies
